Dear Tenant,
As we approach the end of what has been a year filled with so much uncertainty, it’s important for us to clearly communicate how the Vacate 2020 process will work this year at SouthPoint.
SouthPoint tenant will need to start coming to the SouthPoint offices from Wednesday, 18 November, in order to do formal vacates. All students who are set to complete their academic year will need to vacate their residential building by Monday, 30 November 2020.
Please note of the following key information around Vacate 2020:
Students whose accounts are up-to-date but have not returned to residence will need to come to SouthPoint’s offices to get their vacate note and vacate the premises.
If your account is not up to date, please contact our office to make an arrangement, then come to the office and officially vacate.
For those that are able to make payment on or by Tuesday, 01 December, you will have until Saturday, 05 December, to come and collect your belongings.
All belongings not collected by 05 December will be discarded and SouthPoint will not be held liable for any loss or damage to the property.
For students who are still doing assessments resulting in an extended 2020 academic calendar:
All students who still need to do assessments after our vacate date of Monday, 30 November, will need to come to SouthPoint’s offices and make arrangements with us. Please note that we will require proof from your Faculty (i.e. a letter from your university) and that your rental will need to be up-to-date.
